Teeth grinding or clenching are often caused by stress or concentration. Grinding which occurs when you are not eating can also be due to a condition called bruxism. Bruxism can cause significant pain in your mandible (jaw). The following issues may be caused by teeth grinding or clenching:

DOES BOTOX® REALLY HELP STOP TEETH GRINDING AND CLENCHING?
BOTOX® is best known as an aesthetic facial treatment to temporarily treat wrinkles caused by facial aging. At Forever Slender MedSpa, we also use BOTOX to control nerve impulses causing muscle contraction since bruxism is caused by a contraction in jaw muscles. BOTOX injections stop the overactive contraction problem and dramatically reduce your unconscious teeth grinding and clenching.
HOW DOES BOTOX® FOR TEETH GRINDING WORK?
BOTOX injection administration takes just a few minutes. Injections use a thin needle specially designed for pain-free BOTOX injections into the overactive masseter muscle.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT WITH BOTOX FOR TEETH GRINDING?
You will receive a conservative dose the first time as our injector takes care to safely provide excellent treatment. We will reevaluate your results to determine whether additional BOTOX is required when you return for your follow up appointment two weeks later.
The results from these injections usually last for about 3-6 months. You will gradually need less BOTOX and require injections less frequently as your body slowly reprograms its muscular responses.
