Three Horrible Food Choices:
Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha (and similar)
Did you know a 20 oz Venti with 2% milk and whipped cream has 530 calories - as many as a McDonald’s Quarter Pounder with Cheese?!!!
Don’t drink your lunch calorie budget as your morning coffee! Throw in a 14 grams of saturated fat and 9 teaspoons of added sugar and you’ve got a health disaster in front of you. Get a smaller size, skip the whipped cream and get the nonfat milk.
Olive Garden’s Tour of Italy
The “Tour of Italy” is designed to give you a little bit of everything from their menu. Unfortunately when you add a plate of lasagna with chicken parmigiana and fettuccine alfredo you’ve mostly a full days’ calories in one meal! The bad news doesn’t stop there, this monster has 1,520 calories, a horrendous 48 grams of saturated fat, and 3,250 mg of sodium!
Add one breadstick and a salad with dressing and you are at 1,810 calories and 4,480 mg of sodium (2+ days worth) in one sitting!
Five Guys Burgers
A Five Guys hamburger with no toppings whatsoever has a ridiculous 840 calories and 20 grams of saturated fat - a full day’s worth)! Make it a Bacon Cheeseburger without other toppings and your at 1,060 calories with 30 grams of saturated fat! An order of fries adds another 950 calories and suddenly you’ve had your full caloric allotment for the day while blowing away your saturated fat allotment too!
A McDonald’s Big Mac contains 540 calories and its fries are 510 calories.
